Cause-driven, engaged, and socially conscious – Amanda embraces opportunities that allow her to take on issues and support causes that inspire her. An enthusiastic person with strong communication skills and expertise, she prides herself on her ability to recognize and articulate a distinct voice for each initiative she undertakes. And that’s not always restricted to the written word. Amanda believes in using her skills to build beneficial and meaningful connections between individuals and causes and she is always willing to take on new challenges.

Amanda has been with the Lawson Foundation as Program Director & COO since 2014. She’s also the co-Founder of MESH – a network for young nonprofit professionals in the National Capital Region. Previous roles have included, Manager of Governance & Executive Office at Imagine Canada, Director of Operations & General Coordinator of the National Alliance for Children and Youth (NACY), Communications Project Manager for the Canadian Council on Social Development, Child Care Specialist for the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, Financial and Administrative Coordinator of the Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada and Conference Coordinator for the Centre of Excellence for Early Childhood Development.

Amanda’s education focused on communications and administration. As part of the first cohort, she graduated from Carleton University with a Masters in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership. Born and raised in Montréal, she has a love for la belle province, and has put down roots in Cantley, Québec, where she lives with her husband and daughter and provides care for her grandmother.
