Grant Programs
The Lawson Foundation approaches grantmaking through the commitment to prevention and intervention in strategic ways that result in solutions to systemic problems and positive enduring change. The grantmaking process is managed by initiating major proactive projects with multiple-year commitments or by inviting letters of intent as part of a two-step application process.
The programs Beginning Years, Healthy Active Children, Miggsie Lawson and Special are proactive programs by invitation only.
The Diabetes Program is open to application every two years through a call for letters of intent. The 2012-13 diabetes funding opportunity is open for applications. Submission deadline: Monday, May 28, 2012 at 11:59 pm ET. HOW TO APPLY
Each program has funding criteria and a tailored grant application process. Grantee reporting and meaningful evaluation are integral requirements of our grantmaking. Grantees are asked to complete interim and final grant reports including outcomes and learning. In addition, we require that projects be evaluated to understand the processes that contributed to their success and impact.
